Every November, we celebrate National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. Caregivers are safely monitoring and caring for their patient or family member every day. They help infusion patients by managing insurance requirements, communicating medical history, scheduling appointments, transporting & much more!
A nonprofit organization called, Caregiver Action Network (CAN) provides free education, peer support, and resources to family caregivers. CAN selected the 2022 theme, #CaregivingHappens, to acknowledge the reality that family caregiving is not always convenient or expected. Infusion patients are faced with underlying medical conditions that impact their daily lives. The support that a caregiver offers our patients, may help reduce aches, pains, anxiety, depression & many other obstacles faced.
